Everything up to 13" tall can remain on the desk when you open the bed.  It accepts an 11" thick mattress that sits into a wood surround, which gives you a place to tuck in your bedding. Your bed is stored ready for guests. ​

FINISH COLOR

Our beds are made from Maple hardwood veneer and trimmed in solid hardwood Beech. When selecting a lighter stain, there is a variation between the bed and the molding, creating a two-tone effect. 

Variations in color, grain, and natural markings are inherent to real wood and are not considered defects. Each piece will have unique tonal differences and may subtly reveal joinery and grain patterns, reflecting authentic wood craftsmanship. Actual product color may vary from what appears on your screen due to display settings and lighting conditions. Wallbeds Company is not responsible for these differences. We recommend requesting a wood finish sample when placing your order.

Engineered Mattress Support System

To open the bed

  1. Release the two black locks at each side of the bed.Standing in front of the desk, take hold of the handle and pull while you are also pushing down on the desk.

  2. Once partially opened, the piston lift system takes over to assist as it opens to the floor.

  3. Never push down on the bed.

To close the bed

  1. Standing at the end of the bed, lift the mattress platform.

  2. Once the bed is halfway lifted grab the handle to control its closing.

OPERATION

ASSEMBLY

Our Bolt and Nut System

Our desk bed goes together with bolts, making it the easiest in the industry to assemble. It is designed with a bolt-and-nut system. Once assembled, this bolt system can never be pulled apart. 

It can be assembled and disassembled hundreds of times over a lifetime of use and can be moved should you change homes. Because of this design, if you no longer need your bed, it can be handed down to others and should never end up in a landfill.

Mechanism

It utilizes a safe,  piston lift system.

Construction

Assembly

Easiest desk bed to assemble, as it is designed with a through-bolt system so it can be taken apart and reassembled hundreds of times over a lifetime of use.

Moving

Our beds can be moved should you change homes. Our beds require 2 able-bodied people to assemble them, as real wood components are heavy.

Parameters

The mattress platform arrives fully assembled, 4" wider and 3" longer than the mattress. It is 18" deep and it does not bend or flex — narrow stairs, tight hallway turns, or small elevators may prevent it from fitting into your room

Height

This bed fastens to your wall through the top, and it requires room above the bed height for your drill to fit. We recommend your ceiling be 6" above the bed height.
