FINISH COLOR

Our beds are made from Maple hardwood veneer and trimmed in solid hardwood Beech. When selecting a lighter stain, there is a variation between the bed and the molding, creating a two-tone effect. 

Variations in color, grain, and natural markings are inherent to real wood and are not considered defects. Each piece will have unique tonal differences and may subtly reveal joinery and grain patterns, reflecting authentic wood craftsmanship. Actual product color may vary from what appears on your screen due to display settings and lighting conditions. Wallbeds Company is not responsible for these differences. We recommend requesting a wood finish sample when placing your order.

Our mattresses are specifically designed to fit our beds.We partnered with MAXIM mattress to offer quality mattresses that are made in California under the strictest laws in the country. They are 10" thick to allow for you to keep your mattress pad, sheets, and comforter on your bed and close it up. Pillows must be removed.

Engineered Mattress Support System

  • The mattress sits on a liner board for even support and protection.

  • Internal I-beam structure beneath the liner board:

    • Supports heavy loads without flexing

    • Promotes airflow to prevent moisture buildup

  • Designed to extend mattress life and improve comfort

Support System for Stability

The mattress tray is supported in two key areas:

  1. Cabinet sides

  2. Single panel leg that spans the width of the mattress

  3. Leg in underneath the bed which allows you to easily walk around the bed. ​​

To open the bed (can only be opened when the panel leg is lifted) 

  1. Lift the panel leg which releases the latch.

  2. Grab hold and pull.

  3. Once the bed is partially opened the slow release piston lift system takes over and the bed will slowly float to the floor.​

To close the bed

  • Stand in front of the bed and lift the mattress platform.

  • ​Once the bed is partially lifted, grab the handle to control its closing.

  • Never let the bed slam closed.

Our Bolt and Nut System

Our desk bed goes together with bolts, making it the easiest in the industry to assemble. It is designed with a bolt-and-nut system. Once assembled, this bolt system can never be pulled apart. 

It can be assembled and disassembled hundreds of times over a lifetime of use and can be moved should you change homes. Because of this design, if you no longer need your bed, it can be handed down to others and should never end up in a landfill.

Mechanism

Our own exclusive solid steel solo mechanism precisely controls the pivot point to ensure the bed works perfectly every time. It utilizes a safe, slow-release piston lift system.

Construction

Made from domestic hardwood maple veneer  and trimmed in solid hardwood beech. Strongest built Murphy table Bed on the market today.

Assembly

Easiest table bed to assemble, as it is designed with a through-bolt system so it can be taken apart and reassembled hundreds of times over a lifetime of use.

Moving

Our beds can be moved should you change homes. Our beds require 2 able-bodied people to assemble them, as real wood components are heavy.

Parameters

The mattress platform arrives fully assembled, 4" wider and 3" longer than the mattress. It is 18" deep and it does not bend or flex — narrow stairs, tight hallway turns, or small elevators may prevent it from fitting into your room

Height

This bed fastens to your wall through the top, and it requires room above the bed height for your drill to fit. We recommend your ceiling be 6" above the bed height.
