Cancellation and Refund Policy

• A processing fee of 3.5% of the order total will be withheld from any cancelled order within 10 business days of the purchase date.

• After 10 business days, 35% of the product total will be withheld from any refund. All beds and cabinets are built to order.

• After the bed has shipped, 35% of the product total and ALL shipping costs incurred by Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company, will be withheld from the refund. Any shipping promotion used when placing the order is void if the product is returned/cancelled. Customer is responsible for ALL shipping expenses as a result of order cancellation/return.

• Product must be returned in original packaging. No returns 30 days after delivery. 

• All mattress sales are final.

Order changes

• Order changes are permitted up to 10 business days after the purchase date. After 10 business days, any changes will result in a cancelled order and will be subject to applicable cancellation fees.

• If an order change results in a partial refund, 3.5% of the refunded amount will be withheld from the refund to cover processing fees from the original transaction.​

Will it fit? Measure your room

• It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the furniture pieces ordered will fit into their room. The product cannot be returned if it does not fit into your room. The largest piece is the mattress tray, which arrives assembled and does not break down further. It is a little larger than the size of a queen-size box spring. The overall dimensions are 83" x 63" x 9". The overall box dimensions is 87" x 67" x 11".

• Make sure you can get this piece into your home/apartment/building up or down your stairs by placing it on its side. Sometimes there are hallway turns, staircases, and elevators that will prevent this large piece from entering the room.

Customer Assembly Requirement

• Product requires assembly.

• Boxes are heavy and may require two or more adults to move and assemble safely.

• Customer assumes all risk associated with unloading, moving, lifting, assembling, and installing the product.

• Westcott Designs, doing business as Wallbeds Company, is not responsible for injury, property damage, or loss resulting from customer handling or assembly.

• Installation requires standard power tools and intermediate-level mechanical ability.

• The customer is responsible for ensuring proper tools and skill level prior to assembly.

Installation and Anchoring Requirement

• Wallbeds must be securely fastened into a minimum of three (3) structural wall studs through the top header using appropriate screws provided.

• Installation into drywall alone is strictly prohibited.

• Failure to properly anchor the bed into structural studs may result in serious injury, death, or property damage.

• Customer assumes full responsibility for proper installation.

• Professional installation is strongly recommended.

• Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company, is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper installation, anchoring, or assembly.

• The product is designed for installation into standard wood-framed walls with structural studs.

• Installation into metal studs, concrete, brick, plaster, or other wall types may require additional hardware not provided and should be installed by a licensed contractor.

• The customer is responsible for verifying wall construction and suitability.

• Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company, is not responsible for structural failure, wall damage, or improper installation due to unsuitable wall conditions.

Freight Delivery Terms

• Delivery is curbside. The boxes are very heavy and require 2-3 able-bodied people to take them off the truck and bring them inside. 

• Freight carriers are not responsible for bringing the product inside the residence.

• Freight carriers 

• The customer is responsible for unloading and moving all boxes to an inside location.

• The customer must be present at delivery.

• Missed delivery appointments may incur redelivery fees, which the customer is responsible for paying.

Shipping Damage

 

SHOULD PACKAGING APPEAR DAMAGED, CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WRITING ON THE DELIVERY PAPERWORK THAT “CONCEALED DAMAGE IS SUSPECTED” BEFORE SIGNING RECEIPT OF GOODS.

IT IS THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO OPEN AND INSPECT ALL BOXES AND PIECES FOR DAMAGE. Damage must be reported to Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company, upon delivery, along with a picture of the damage to the packaging and product. Damage noted after delivery is the customer's responsibility.

 

Shipping Disclosures

• We reserve the right to cancel orders that are not serviced by our shipping providers.

• If the shipping provider is unable to contact the customer for delivery, the order will be returned to Wallbeds Company at the customer's expense. The returned shipment will be held by Westcott Designs doing business as Wallbeds Company for a maximum of 30 days. If the customer contacts Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company, within 30 days of the return, the order can be reshipped for an additional fee. After 30 days, the order will be cancelled and subject to the cancellation fees listed herein.

• Deliveries typically occur on the date scheduled with the freight provider.  However, we recommend waiting until AFTER delivery has occurred before hiring someone to assist with your order, as delays can occur. Neither Westcott Designs doing business as Wallbeds Company nor the shipping provider is responsible for hired labor due to an incident or delayed delivery.

Storage Conditions

• Product must be stored in a climate-controlled environment.

• Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company, is not responsible for damage resulting from moisture, humidity, improper storage, or exposure to outdoor elements.

Care of your real wood furniture

• Thank you for choosing American-Made real wood furniture for your home. Real wood products can have grain patterns, character markings, and dark or light variations, highlighting the natural effect of true wood furniture.

• Dust regularly with a soft microfiber cloth. For fingerprints or light grime: Use a damp (not wet) cloth with mild dish soap diluted in warm water and wipe gently. Immediately dry with a clean cloth. Never let water sit on the surface.

• NEVER use furniture polish, vinegar, ammonia, acidic or steam cleaners, abrasive pads or powders as these will damage your finish.

• Use coasters and placemats. On desktops, we recommend a blotter or acrylic desk topper.

• Never set hot and warm pans directly on the surface.

• Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight (UV can fade wood).

• Use felt pads under decor and lamps.

Replacement Parts

• Replacement parts due to shipping damage (properly notated on the delivery receipt) will be sent as soon as possible.* Overnight shipping not available.*

• Any replacement parts needed outside of properly notated damage or a warranty issue will be at the customer's expense.

• Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company, is not responsible for hired labor.

 Warranty

We offer a 10-year warranty on all mechanical parts. This includes all plates, screws, and gas pistons.

• Warranty only applies to the original owner.

• The prices displayed on our website or in our catalog are quoted in U.S. Dollars and are valid and effective only in the U.S.

• Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product.

• Westcott Designs Inc., doing business as Wallbeds Company shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, special, indirect, or punitive damages.

• This includes but is not limited to property damage, personal injury, loss of use, lost wages, or third-party claims.

 

Governing Law

• These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.

• Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Solano County, California.

Product Use Disclaimer

• Product is intended for residential indoor use only.

• Product should not be used for commercial or rental properties unless specified.

• Children should not operate the bed without adult supervision.​
